[Anna Kleist was my great-grandmother. Although she appointed her son William as Executor, he requested that his sister Dorothea serve in this capacity, which she did.]

Last Will and Testament

KNOW ALL MEN, That I, ANNA KLEIST, of the City of Sheboygan, County of Sheboygan, State of Wisconsin, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, but mindful of the uncertainty of life, hereby revoking any and all wills and codicils heretofore by me made, do make, publish and declare this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form as follows:

FIRST: I hereby direct that all my legal debts, funeral expenses and expenses of administration, be paid as soon after my death as convenient.

SECOND: All the rest, residue and remainder of my property, both real and personal, or mixed, such as I may now have or hereafter acquire, and wherever situated, I give, devise and bequeath as follows:

One-third (1/3) thereof to my grandchild, WILLIAM G. BARRETT, son of my deceased daughter;

One-third (1/3) thereof to my daughter, DOROTHEA CONRARDY; and

One-third (1/3) thereof to my son, WILLIAM F. KLEIST.

THIRD: I hereby nominate and appoint my son, WILLIAM F. KLEIST, as sole executor or personal representative of this my Last Will and Testament, and request that he be not obliged to give any bond as such; and I hereby authorize and empower my executor or personal representative to sell and dispose of any real or personal property I may leave or be seized of at the time of my death and authorize him to execute and deliver any and all necessary instruments of transfer and deeds of conveyances.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 22nd day of February, A.D., 1973.

The foregoing instrument, consisting of two (2) sheets of paper, including this one, each typewritten on one side only, was at Sheboygan, Wisconsin, on the 22nd day of February, A.D., 1973, signed, sealed, published and declared by the said ANNA KLEIST, as and for her Last Will and Testament, in the presence of us, who, at her request, in her presence, and in the presence of each other, have hereunto subscribed our names as attesting witnesses.

We certify that at the time of the execution of this Will the testatrix was of sound and disposing mind and memory, and was acting of her own free will.
