Roman Federer

Roman (Mickey) Federer, age 77, of 2221 Geele Ave. died at his home Sunday after a long illness.

Born Jan. 8, 1900, in Sheboygan, a son of the late John and Magdaline Mueller Federer, he attended Holy Name School.

On June 2, 1921, he married Agnes N. Grande at Holy Name Church. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1971.

Mr. Federer worked at the Garton Toy Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1965.

He was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church, its Holy Name Society and the Apostolate of Suffering.

Surviving are his wife; one son, Roman J., Sheboygan; two grandsons; one brother, Henry; and one sister, Mrs. Martha Schwanekamp, both of Sheboygan. He was preceded in death by an infant son and daughter, four brothers and five sisters.

The funeral Mass will be offered at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Dominic Church, with Fr. John L. Simon, associate pastor, the celebrant. The Mass will follow family rites at noon at the Kroos-Mason Funeral Home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Tuesday.

A joint rosary will be held there at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

A memorial fund has been established in Mr. Federer's name.
