Mrs. Margaret Kalchthaler

Mrs. Margaret Kalchthaler, 87, widow of the late William Kalchthaler, died early this morning at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kalchthaler, 2024 N. Twelfth street.

A life-long resident of Sheboygan County, the deceased was born July 19, 1860, in the town of Rhine, the daughter of John and Barbara Urban. She came to Sheboygan to make her home in 1876.

On Nov. 9, 1882, she was married to William Kalchthaler by the late Rev. Michael Haider of Holy Name church. For the past 19 years she had resided in Elkhart Lake.

Survivors are two sons, Joseph, Sheboygan, and Rudolph, Chicago; one daughter, Mrs. Clara Ploetz; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Anna Reichert, Plymouth.

Her husband died Feb. 26, 1921, and a daughter, Lily, eight sisters and three brothers also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p. m. Monday at Gerend's Funeral home and at 2 p. m. at St. Paul's Lutheran church. The Rev. Victor Mennicke, pastor, will officiate, and burial will be made on the family lot in Calvary cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the funeral home from 7 p. m. Saturday until the time of the services.
