Gouge-Barrett Nuptials Are
Held In Pensacola, Fla.

William G. Barrett traveled to Florida for his marriage to Miss Kathleen Gouge, whom he took to New Orleans, La., for a honeymoon from which they have returned. They are residing in Sheboygan.

Parents of the bridegroom, Mr. and Mrs. William E. Barrett, 2828 S. 9th St., went to Pensacola for the nuptial ceremony, which was performed by the Rev. J. B. Nichols in First Methodist Church in that Floridian city April 11. Giant and pom pon chrysanthemums and white gladioli were decor.

"Because" was the solo of Paul Cummins, who was accompanied by Mrs. Adrian Langford.

The late Mr. & Mrs. Rosler C. Gouge of Johnson City, Tenn., were the bride's father and mother. An uncle, Theodore McGuire of Linville, N.C., presented his niece in marriage. Her gown of nylon organza featured a round neckline with re-embroidered lace and sequins adorning the neckline and cap sleeves. Similarly, the floor-length skirt had the same design. A large bow in back extended to a chapel train. Mitts that matched had points over the hands. The tiny crown of sequins and pearls had a veil of illusion attached. White stephanotis, carnations and orchids were used in the bouquet carried by the bride.

Bridal aids were Miss Peggy Gouge, maid of honor, Mrs. Howard Hyder, bridesmatron, both sisters of the bride, Miss Martha McGuire and Miss Jenny Sue Helton; Suzy Presley and Patricia Haley, junior bridesmaids, and Jenny Fielder, flower girl.

White and ice blue embroidered organdy gowns with matching headpieces were attire of the entire group. The adults had mixed carnations in their bouquets, the flower girl held a basket filled with pink and white carnations.

Others in the wedding party were Richard Kraft, Mrlette, Mich., best man, Jack Coenen, Little Chute, Wis., Walter Parker and Eugene Presley, ushers, and Harry Haley, ring bearer.

Immediately after the ceremony, a reception was held at Fellowship Hall of the church. Guests from other cities were Mr. & Mrs. Theodore McGuire and son, Steve, Lincille, [sic] N.C., Mrs. P. Owens, Winston-Salem, N.C., Mrs. Howard Hyde [sic] and daughter, Terry, Johnson City, Tenn.

Mr. and Mrs. Barrett temporarily are residing with his parents and arrived in Sheboygan Monday. The former Miss Gouge was employed in Pensacola City Hall. After a period of service in the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Navy, the bridegroom is an insurance salesman.
